The Forgotten People

Stretch Productions’ involvement in filming the Deaf indigenous people shows our ability to build networks and work successfully in diverse and unfamiliar environments. Our work in Solomon Islands, Australia (Deaf Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) and Deaf Maori particularly the beautiful footage captured there, is bringing the message of both the strength and the need of Deaf indigenous communities to the wider world with a view to securing resources to preserve their language and access to information.

Stretch Productions and Shotz Productions crowd funding campaign, Indiegogo, is now under way for our documentary “The Forgotten People”. Our stories take us to visit the Solomon Islands, Australia (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) and Deaf Maori.
Telling stories about Deaf people from developing countries is a passion of mine.
I am dedicated to improving their lives by enhancing their educational needs, improving access to essential information, and preserving their indigenous sign language.
